OUR MISSION
Our services and programs educate and empower individuals and families of all cultures
to lead emotionally healthy lives.
OUR PAST
In 1953, Father George Mastrantonis, a Greek Orthodox priest, founded the Hellenic Foundation with a group of civic minded and caring community leaders. This actualized his dream to create an organization that would care for the elderly, youth and families of the Hellenic-American community. Their first step was to concentrate on the housing needs of the elderly. Hellenic Foundation evolved throughout the years, into a multifaceted and dynamic social service organization.
OUR PRESENT
Guided by a volunteer Board of Directors and staffed by professionals experienced in mental health and human services, Hellenic Foundation is a not-for-profit organization serving the social service needs of individuals, couples and families of all cultures.
Hellenic Foundation provides, education, intervention and support through our Educational Lecture Series, Support Groups, Individual, Couples and Family Psychotherapy, Case Management and Community Care Program for the Elderly. Hellenic Foundation is also a continuing education provider for individuals in the mental health field.
OUR FUTURE
At Hellenic Foundation we believe that life is like a marathon. There are elements of one's journey that one must learn to persevere on his own while accepting support from those around him. Although life can have obstacles along the way, we at Hellenic Foundation are committed to educating and supporting individuals so that they may strengthen their step and make strides in their lives.
The future of Hellenic Foundation is to perpetuate the commitment to educate, intervene and support individuals, couples and families to succeed in the marathon of life.
