Hellenic Link-Midwest

Organization:             Hellenic Link-Midwest (HLM Krikos) is a scientific and cultural organization based in Chicago. Its object is to foster and promote cooperation and fellowship among professionals, residing in Greece and America, and to preserve, promote and enrich the Hellenic heritage of its members and of our Hellenic community. It promotes activities, such as: lectures, symposia and conferences, musical events, theatrical plays.  It assists young Greek-Americans, enrolled in accredited US colleges or universities, to achieve their goals through its scholarship program.

 

Program:        HLM is requesting financial support for it 2018 Scholarship Program.  Scholarships are awarded to deserving students of Hellenic decent who reside in the Midwest and who have attained academic excellence and have shown financial need of scholarship assistance. Grants range from $1500 - $2000.

                        HLM is requesting financial support for its Lecture Program which serves the Greek American community of the Chicago area, and is open to anyone interested in attending.  The goal of the program is to foster cooperation among the organizations of our community, and to enrich the cultural development and education of the members of our community. The funding will cover all operational costs associated with two lectures which will be advertised as named lectures in honor of the organization’s founding member and long-time treasurer, the late George Alexopoulos, and funded by the Hellenic Foundation.
