St. Iakovos Retreat Center

The St. Iakovos Retreat Center is pleased to announce that through funding provided by the Hellenic Foundation new program initiatives and retreats will be launched this upcoming year at the facility.  These initiatives will help us continue to meet our mission and purpose of being a place where people can grow in faith while sharing in fellowship. These new avenues of ministry will include creative and dynamic programing in areas such as Couples Retreats, Parish Council Retreats, and Youth Advisor Retreats. A Program Director will be hired to create these retreats which will target individuals to draw them into the ministry of the Retreat Center and help them to take one step closer on their journey towards Christ.

The St. Iakovos Retreat Center is a 137-acre facility located in Kansasville, WI. The facility is the fulfilled vision of His Eminence Metropolitan Iakovos and currently home to the Fanari camping program, as well as a variety of day, overnight and weekend retreats throughout the year. Our ministry to our guests and visitors extends not only to our own parishes, but also many parishes of other Orthodox jurisdictions as well as ministries outside of the Orthodox faith. The vision of the Retreat Center was to build a place of faith and fellowship, where the voice of God can be better heard, because the world around is quieter. St. Iakovos Retreat Center truly is a place that offers people of all ages the opportunity to engage, experience and grow.

While on retreat, participants will have the opportunity to stay in our luxurious and ADA accessible lodging facilities which feature amenities such as heat, air-conditioning and WIFI. These facilities include a 26 room residential lodge as well as two cottages, log lodge and chapel. Sessions, discussions and presentations will be held in our meeting rooms, while fellowship and recreation time will bring the opportunity to enjoy our grounds and a variety of our onsite activities.  Guests may also visit our animals or enjoy peaceful walk on our trails visiting the 16 Proskinitaria nestled in our woods.

The St. Iakovos Retreat Center board of directors and staff are excited by this new opportunity and invite all too look for our upcoming programs and join us in this journey  as we grow in faith, while sharing in fellowship.
