The Hellenic Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Gregory T. Amarantos and Harry J. Secaras to our Board of Directors. Their extensive experience and deep commitment to our community will be invaluable to our continued success and growth.

Dr. Gregory T. Amarantos is a distinguished podiatrist with a long-standing record of service on various medical boards and committees, including his role as President of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association. Additionally, he is a founding member of the Ascension of Our Lord Greek Orthodox Church in Lincolnshire, Illinois, and a past parish council member at Ascension and Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church in Glenview, Illinois. Dr. Amarantos’s expertise and dedication will be instrumental in advancing our mission and vision.

Mr. Harry J. Secaras brings 35 years of legal expertise in Labor and Employment Law to our board. This experience will significantly strengthen and enhance our working relationship with our 280+ employees. His tenure as past president of the Hellenic Bar Association, his membership in the American Bar Association, and his position as a shareholder at Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. in Chicago underscore his leadership and experience. Mr. Secaras has also served our Greek Orthodox community as legal counsel to the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago since 2019. His involvement as a board member will significantly bolster our efforts to support and fund programs for our Greek and Orthodox communities in Chicago.
