The Hellenic Foundation is bringing the Hearing Loop to Chicago area Greek Orthodox churches.
The Hearing Loop system, also known as an audio induction loop, is a specialized assistive listening system designed to aid individuals with hearing impairments. It transmits sound directly into hearing aids or cochlear implants equipped with Telecoils (T-coils), turning them into personalized wireless receivers.

HOW TO USE THE HEARING LOOP SYSTEM

You can utilize the Hearing Loop System by activating the T-Coil setting on your hearing aid or cochlear implant. This connection enables the delivery of clear sound directly to you, ensuring an enhanced auditory experience.

The Hearing Loop is the only assistive listening technology that can broadcast directly to a wide range of hearing aids, making it the most popular option for accessible audio in public spaces.

WHAT IS A HEARING LOOP SYSTEM?
Here's how it works:

Seamless Integration: Audio inputs from our existing audio system or dedicated microphones are fed into an induction loop amplifier.

Magnetic Field Transmission: The amplifier drives a current into a hidden loop wire installed around the perimeter of our venue. As this current flows through the wire, it creates a magnetic field within the listening area.

Personalized Reception: Individuals equipped with T-coil-enabled hearing devices can effortlessly tune into this magnetic signal. The T-coil within their device picks up the magnetic field, delivering crystal-clear audio directly to their ears.

No hearing Aid? For those without hearing aids, church ushers have Loop Receivers available for use.
