AUSTIN COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIPS
The Austin neighborhood of Chicago is a vibrant community rich in culture and diversity, yet it faces significant challenges that impact the youth. To empower the next generation and foster a positive community, the Austin Youth Community Scholarship Program initiative aims to provide ten scholarships of $1,000 each to deserving students participating in the Austin Community Outreach After School Program at Chicago’s 15 District Police Station on Chicago’s Westside of Chicago, specifically focusing on students who are committed to investing their time and effort into community service. This effort is made possible by a collaboration between the Hellenic Foundation, Dr. Peter J. Panton and the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church of Chicago.
